Dubstep producer, Mancer, needed a video visual that loops perfectly and inspires awe as an audio and visual experience when put with his song releases. I turned to the best way I know how to make captivating visuals: 3D. I modelled and animated this pulsing, cosmic scene that can be beat-matched with the music to really bring about a sense of power with each kick and each snare.
As Mancer steps up his music game, so do his visuals. Though he's shown a good understanding in creating his own still images for album artwork, he needed some help to create something a little more special; something animated.
Mancer left me with vast creative freedom on this project. The important targets were to visually suit his current brand, which includes a high prominence of strong red and dark shades, and a frequent display of slight grunge look mixed with cyber punk ideas and locations. Like a red and black outrun style.
The visual loop is to be used both as a video to go with song releases when uploaded to video streaming websites like YouTube, and also as a continually looping video for his visuals when performing as a totally rad DJ on stage.
